A New Approach

Well.....it’s been about two months since I started on this blog journey. So far.... a humbling exercise in futility as far as my effect on the world. I’ve concentrated on my like minded friends, hoping to motivate myself and them to take action against what I see as a serious attack on their most basic rights as Americans. You know, the ol’ grass roots movement.

However, five articles and a few thousand words later, I’ve decided to change directions. I’ve been trying to convince people to see things my way, to help them to handle a situation, that is my situation. That’s not up to me. There are people with much bigger platforms and much deeper pockets. People who love to be in the public eye, who don’t shy away from attention. People who, although they may disagree with the covert methods and the agenda of social media, are nevertheless willing to use it to get their message out.

I like to write. It’s my Therapy. I don’t get paid for it. It just helps me organize my mind. I was thinking my thoughts and ideas might be helpful to others. But, writing, for me, shouldn’t be a quest for follows and likes. It should be a quest for focus and clarity in my own heart and mind. If someone wants to read my scribbles, I hope they get something out of it.

So, I’m still the same guy I was in the introduction to this blog. I’m still sixty one years old, I’m still a man(he, him), I’ve still seen enough and I don’t know where to turn. But, now “my contemplations” will be just that. Not a call to political action, just a normal guys written path to maintaining some sense of reason in an unreasonable world.

Peace be with you.
